Once you know your interpersonal and professional skills, and have a sense of your career goals, what do you do with all that information? In this event, the fourth and final in this series on exploring different career paths, we will present tools and strategies that graduate students can use to fold this new knowledge into your professional development goals. In doing so, we will also revisit what we have learned in previous weeks in this series. By the end of this session, you will be able to develop strategies and utilize resources for incorporating the concepts of the previous weeks into a cogent, actionable career development plan.

This event is the fourth in the four-part series, Imagining Post-PhD Career Possibilities: Advocating for your Professional Skills and Value. The events in this series include the following:

  • Monday, March 14: Graduate Skills and Competencies: What Have I Really Learned?
  • Monday, March 21: Mentoring and Advising Relationships: What Skills Am I Developing?
  • Monday, March 28: Building My Networks and Engagement in Communities: What Connections Am I Growing and Why?
  • Monday, April 4: Putting It All Together: How Do I Articulate and Implement a Career Development Plan?
