Overview of High-Impact Practices (HIPs), Taxonomies, and Assessment
Monday, October 5, 2020 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
Note: Before you can register, you will need to create a (free) CIRTL account here.
In this session, participants will examine the defining feature of a high-impact practice and how these are realized within different types of engaged learning experiences, such as service learning, undergraduate research, internships, learning communities, ePortfolios, and Capstone experiences. The participants will also consider the use of reflection as a core aspect of integrative learning in these experiences, and how these reflective pieces can be used for the assessment of student learning.
This drop-in, online event is open to the public. Anyone is welcome to attend, but you must register in order to attend. Once you register, you will have access to the Blackboard Ultra room where this online event will take place.
This online event is part of Engaging Students through High-Impact Practices, a four-part series focused on global learning and engagement, course-based research experiences, and effective ePortfolio usage.
