How CIRTL Impacted My Career: Hearing from Teaching Faculty
Wednesday, March 16 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Note: Before you can register, you will need to create a (free) CIRTL account here.
Are you considering a faculty career focused on teaching? These careers – whether at R1 institutions or primarily undergraduate institutions – can provide faculty with ample opportunities to develop and refine their teaching and course design skills, while also valuing research and service as important components of faculty work. Join us to hear CIRTL alumni reflect on how they came into these positions: what made them pursue this career path; its benefits, stressors, and rewards; and how CIRTL shaped their interests, skills, and community.
This workshop is part of the series, How CIRTL Impacted My Career: Alumni Reflections. The other events in this series include the following:
- Wednesday, March 9: How CIRTL Impacted My Career: Hearing from Academic and Research Staff
- Wednesday, March 23: How CIRTL Impacted My Career: Experiences in Academia from Underrepresented Groups in STEM
- Wednesday, March 30: How CIRTL Impacted My Career: Hearing about Positions beyond Academia
Registration is required. Once you register, you will have access to the online meeting room where this online event will take place.
