Note: Before you can register, you will need to create a (free) CIRTL account here.

Are you considering a career outside of academia? Whether you’re considering work in a lab, in private industry, or elsewhere, non-academic career possibilities can build on the same skills you’ve developed in academia, like research, mentoring, and learning new concepts. Join us to hear CIRTL alumni reflect on how they came into their non-academic careers: what made them pursue this path; its benefits, stressors, and rewards; and how CIRTL shaped their interests, skills, and community.

This workshop is part of the series, How CIRTL Impacted My Career: Alumni Reflections. The other events in this series include the following:

  • Wednesday, March 9: How CIRTL Impacted My Career: Hearing from Academic and Research Staff
  • Wednesday, March 16: How CIRTL Impacted My Career: Hearing from Teaching Faculty
  • Wednesday, March 23: How CIRTL Impacted My Career: Experiences in Academia from Underrepresented Groups in STEM

Registration is required. Once you register, you will have access to the online meeting room where this online event will take place.
