This online learning community is intended to give participants in CIRTL’s introductory STEM teaching MOOC an opportunity for deeper engagement with MOOC content through weekly discussion sessions facilitated by an instructor from the CIRTL Network. CIRTL’s MOOC, Intro to Evidence-Based Undergraduate STEM Teaching, introduces future STEM faculty to evidence-based teaching strategies and methods for assessing student learning. MOOC participants who also choose to take part in this MOOC-Centered Learning Community (MCLC) will concurrently attend weekly online synchronous sessions to engage with MOOC material through group discussion and activities.
